After 6 minutes, Bogomil Butzev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Leipzig and the Lyulin United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RB Leipzig's Bogomil Butzev got a free kick in the 6th minute. Svetozar Radosov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ancho Ambov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ancho Ambov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svetozar Radosov having to interfere. In the 16th minute Penko Pendov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veselin Zaharinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Neycho Pústrakov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RB Leipzig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyulin United the free kick. 19 minutes into the match, Lyulin United's Avgustin Radulov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Penko Pendov during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Penko Pendov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomir Nonov scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Svetozar Radosov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. RB Leipzig's Svetozar Radosov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save RB Leipzig from getting a goal against them. RB Leipzig's Svetozar Radosov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ancho Ambov in the 34th minute of play. Ancho Ambov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Svetozar Radosov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Stefan Dunchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RB Leipzig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Dunchev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, RB Leipzig's Svetozar Radosov got control of the ball when Radomir Nonov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ancho Ambov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Svetozar Radosov. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Dunchev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Penko Pendov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veselin Zaharinov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The Lyulin United fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Lyulin United's Valkan Harmandzhiev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute Ancho Ambov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svetozar Radosov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyulin United's Ivaylo Hlebarov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raycho Donski, made in the 61st minute of the game. Danail Kalúchev made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bogomil Butzev immediately put the ball in play. Bogomil Butzev was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 66th match minute, RB Leipzig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogomil Butzev to maneuver through the defense. RB Leipzig's Svetozar Radosov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ancho Ambov in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Lyulin United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ivaylo Hlebarov hit a great ball. Radomir Nonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomir Nonov in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Svetozar Radosov saved RB Leipzig from getting behind. Svetozar Radosov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Lyulin United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
