Kosta Lapev struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Alfredo Centofanti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Sliven. In the 8th match minute, FK Sliven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kosta Lapev to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beloslav Mirkov in the 11th minute of play forced FK Sliven's goalkeeper Naycho Yachovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stancho Kukov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Centofanti having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Presiyan Karadimitrov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Stancho Kukov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Sliven's goalkeeper Naycho Yachovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Samowodeni booed when FK Sliven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kosta Lapev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Traycho Plashokov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Naycho Yachovski came out and tried to block the shot, but Traycho Plashokov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. The FK Sliven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naycho Yachovski should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Traycho Plashokov was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Traycho Plashokov in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naycho Yachovski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Samowodeni's Traycho Plashokov in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FK Sliven's Naycho Yachovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traycho Plashokov in the 84th minute of play. When Zahari Gramchev came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Samowodeni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zahari Gramchev couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Sliven's goalkeeper Naycho Yachovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Dilyan Nishev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
