Zdravko Beslimov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanek Gurov, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The Guljanci fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zdravko Beslimov should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Guljanci's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Chekov came free, but Zdravko Beslimov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Vladimir Chekov notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guljanci's Zdravko Beslimov. Zdravko Beslimov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimir Chekov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdravko Beslimov having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Yanek Gurov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zdravko Beslimov. Guljanci's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yanek Gurov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trayan Dikanchev during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Lyulyak a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lilcho Rúsin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guljanci's Zdravko Beslimov. 0-4. Yanek Gurov took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zdravko Beslimov. Zdravko Beslimov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. With an all-out effort, Guljanci's Vasil Piyanechki threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nikolay Tonkin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yanek Gurov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zdravko Beslimov having to make a save. If Vladimir Chekov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimir Chekov to make the kick off. Yanek Gurov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zdravko Beslimov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When Vladimir Chekov came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Lyulyak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Chekov couldn't finish the play. Yanek Gurov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Zdravko Beslimov made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Yanek Gurov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Guljanci players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
