Guljanci's Zdravko Beslimov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fotyo Iliev in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Anastas Vutev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CSKA Staropatiza's Fotyo Iliev got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anastas Vutev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikolay Tonkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svetozar Karadimchev having to interfere. Neno Lalovski's late challenge caught a CSKA Staropatiza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neno Lalovski helped the player get up and apologised. If Nikolay Tonkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Guljanci's goal looked a bit too open when Fotyo Iliev came free, but Zdravko Beslimov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, CSKA Staropatiza's Fotyo Iliev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zdravko Beslimov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 46th minute, Fotyo Iliev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anastas Vutev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdravko Beslimov having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Guljanci's zone, Anastas Vutev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdravko Beslimov came out of the goal and Anastas Vutev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zdravko Beslimov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fotyo Iliev in the 70th minute of the match. Zdravko Beslimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fotyo Iliev in the 72nd minute of play. Neno Lalovski was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 73rd minute, Neno Lalovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Fotyo Iliev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zdravko Beslimov made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Anastas Vutev sent off a good shot on target. Fotyo Iliev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdravko Beslimov having to interfere. Fotyo Iliev might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zdravko Beslimov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fotyo Iliev ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute of the match Pavlin Rozov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zdravko Beslimov skillfully saved the ball. If Fotyo Iliev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CSKA Staropatiza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
