After a defensive mix-up in Dimitrovgrad's zone, Manol Nikolov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgi Dipchikov came out of the goal and Manol Nikolov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dirk Hillerzeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Chukov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manol Nikolov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georgi Dipchikov having to make a save. If Eric Marrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Marrant struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Georgi Dipchikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manol Nikolov in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, FK CSKA TETOVO's Eric Marrant dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Eric Marrant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Georgi Dipchikov made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Radostin Turlakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georgi Dipchikov made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Eric Marrant sent off a good shot on target. Eric Marrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Georgi Dipchikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Manol Nikolov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Dipchikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Marrant made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FK CSKA TETOVO's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Chukov came free, but Dirk Hillerzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manol Nikolov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgi Dipchikov having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manol Nikolov in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georgi Dipchikov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manol Nikolov might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georgi Dipchikov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manol Nikolov ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, FK CSKA TETOVO's Dirk Hillerzeder got control of the ball when Alexey Portokalski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexey Portokalski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Hillerzeder having to interfere. If Eric Marrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Georgi Dipchikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manol Nikolov, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Marrant in the 87th minute of play forced Dimitrovgrad's goalkeeper Georgi Dipchikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, Dimitrovgrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stoyadin Katerinov to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dimitrovgrad's zone, Eric Marrant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgi Dipchikov came out of the goal and Eric Marrant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
