With a little luck, Botev FC's Antoan Chakúrski got control of the ball when Vladko Orozov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antoan Chakúrski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladko Orozov went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. POPAY's Violet Popov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyo Beyazov in the 25th minute of play. Stefan Akov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Violet Popov having to interfere. If Stefan Akov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Prokopi Mitev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Violet Popov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Akov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Prokopi Mitev fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botev FC's protests and gave Prokopi Mitev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Botev FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prokopi Mitev to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Botev FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Karamfil Matrov hit a great ball.

Stefan Akov might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Violet Popov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Akov ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefan Akov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Violet Popov having to interfere. POPAY's Vladko Orozov got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. POPAY made a substitution. Dobromir Antonov replaced Milko Gazdov. POPAY's Violet Popov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyo Beyazov in the 70th minute of play. Dobromir Antonov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Violet Popov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Akov in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Stefan Akov notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of POPAY's Violet Popov. Violet Popov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Botev FC's Prokopi Mitev got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Botev FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
