When Bogomil Maslinkov fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MANCHESTER UNITED's protests and gave Bogomil Maslinkov a yellow card for diving instead. 8 minutes into the match, MANCHESTER UNITED's goalkeeper Vassilis Saloufidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radomir Kupenov. In the 14th minute, Yavor Kadiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Valcho Ederov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MANCHESTER UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Tzeko Popvasilev fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MANCHESTER UNITED's protests and gave Tzeko Popvasilev a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 minutes of play, MANCHESTER UNITED's Valcho Ederov made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donyo Kirovski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donyo Kirovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogomil Maslinkov in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Stanimir Baharov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOTEV PLOVDIV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MANCHESTER UNITED the free kick. The supporters of MANCHESTER UNITED booed when BOTEV PLOVDIV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanimir Baharov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes BOTEV PLOVDIV got a freekick which was hit by Yavor Kadiev. If Evgeni Maykov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MANCHESTER UNITED's Bogomil Serev got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donyo Kirovski came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by MANCHESTER UNITED's Valcho Ederov. But to his dismay, Valcho Ederov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Donyo Kirovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evgeni Maykov in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, BOTEV PLOVDIV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genko Tariyski to maneuver through the defense. Donyo Kirovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogomil Serev in the 45th minute of the match. Delyan Velchov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Donyo Kirovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Radomir Kupenov was the one to do the kick off. If Radomir Kupenov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Valcho Ederov put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Donyo Kirovski. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Evgeni Maykov took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Donyo Kirovski to make any attempt to save it. 68 minutes into the match, BOTEV PLOVDIV's goalkeeper Donyo Kirovski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogomil Maslinkov. After a defensive mix-up in BOTEV PLOVDIV's zone, Metodi Tyankov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donyo Kirovski came out of the goal and Metodi Tyankov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Bogomil Serev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donyo Kirovski. Bogomil Serev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Delyan Velchov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogomil Maslinkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Donyo Kirovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BOTEV PLOVDIV's Donyo Kirovski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save BOTEV PLOVDIV from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Bogomil Maslinkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donyo Kirovski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 91st minute, Stanimir Baharov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded MANCHESTER UNITED left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BOTEV PLOVDIV.
