The referee showed Galin Mushanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, FC Dunav Ruse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galin Mushanov to maneuver through the defense. Torpedo Totleben's Vencho Zaimov couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Dunav Ruse. The FC Dunav Ruse fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when FC Dunav Ruse's Tinko Kachaunov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Galin Mushanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Torpedo Totleben's zone, Tinko Kachaunov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pantaley Fasulkov came out of the goal and Tinko Kachaunov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 20th minute of the match Galin Mushanov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Galin Mushanov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Torpedo Totleben booed when FC Dunav Ruse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Galin Mushanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tinko Kachaunov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantaley Fasulkov having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, FC Dunav Ruse's goalkeeper Oleg Fúrkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cazimir Tănăsescu. After having played for 35 minutes, Kenney Marant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torpedo Totleben's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenney Marant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kamen Kirov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Fúrkov having to interfere. Gavril Lapev's late challenge caught a Torpedo Totleben's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavril Lapev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Dunav Ruse's Gavril Lapev got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Nikolay Gaydadzhiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asparuh Trendafilov kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Torpedo Totleben's goal looked a bit too open when Tinko Kachaunov came free, but Pantaley Fasulkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tinko Kachaunov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oleg Fúrkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolay Gaydadzhiev in the 56th minute of the match. During the 58th minute of the match Asparuh Trendafilov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Asparuh Trendafilov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, FC Dunav Ruse's Asparuh Trendafilov got a free kick in the 58th minute. Torpedo Totleben's Vencho Zaimov couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. Oleg Fúrkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Tănăsescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Raycho Kotov was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Raycho Kotov kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Nikolay Gaydadzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Fúrkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oleg Fúrkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Tănăsescu in the 77th minute of play. Daniel Ormanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantaley Fasulkov having to interfere. Nikolay Gaydadzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Oleg Fúrkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Torpedo Totleben's Nikolay Gaydadzhiev in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
