The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Velcho Koshnicharov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rashko Negrov in the 4th minute of play. FC Stryama's Velcho Koshnicharov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save FC Stryama from getting a goal against them. If Rashko Negrov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 15 minutes, Toshko Hadzhiangelov made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Aramazov Plovdiv's Vitan Balachev tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rashko Negrov struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Velcho Koshnicharov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aramazov Plovdiv. When Bozhil Mandadzhiev fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Stryama's protests and gave Bozhil Mandadzhiev a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Stryama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Vitan Balachev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svetoslav Nikitov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 29 minutes, Svetoslav Nikitov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Stryama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svetoslav Nikitov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodor Nitov charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Nitov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Rashko Negrov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Svetoslav Nikitov notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Aramazov Plovdiv's Vitan Balachev. Vitan Balachev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 played minutes Aramazov Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Bobi Prahov. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toshko Hadzhiangelov to make the kick off. Vitan Balachev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toshko Hadzhiangelov, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Velcho Koshnicharov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rashko Negrov in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Stryama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bobi Prahov was slow to take the kick. During this time Aramazov Plovdiv's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Aramazov Plovdiv's Tzanyo Kúrpachev getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 65th minute Rashko Negrov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velcho Koshnicharov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Aramazov Plovdiv's Vitan Balachev got control of the ball when Svetoslav Nikitov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tzvyatko Karadashki charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tzvyatko Karadashki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Aramazov Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Tzvyatko Karadashki. In the 91st match minute, FC Stryama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doncho Krantov to maneuver through the defense. Velcho Koshnicharov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Nitov in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svetoslav Nikitov got free with Vitan Balachev in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vitan Balachev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toshko Hadzhiangelov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Stryama walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
