The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Pleven PFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomislav Bozov to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match Strahil Imov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peyo Izov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, CSKA Cazimir's Spas Kadiev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borislav Angelushev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Iskren Barbolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Pleven PFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iskren Barbolov came free, but Borislav Angelushev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhivko Mankov got free with Peyo Izov in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Iskren Barbolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spas Kadiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Borislav Angelushev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CSKA Cazimir's Zhelyo Saparevski got a free kick in the 26th minute. Borislav Angelushev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spas Kadiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Borislav Angelushev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iskren Barbolov's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 47 minutes into the match, CSKA Cazimir's goalkeeper Peyo Izov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhivko Mankov.

Spas Kadiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Borislav Angelushev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borislav Angelushev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iskren Barbolov, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Peyo Izov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bratan Maymarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zhivko Mankov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pleven PFC's Borislav Angelushev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Pleven PFC from getting a goal against them. Peyo Izov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bratan Maymarov in the 66th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, CSKA Cazimir's Borislav Angelushev threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iskren Barbolov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Pleven PFC booed when CSKA Cazimir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihomir Tzonev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Strahil Imov charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Strahil Imov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Strahil Imov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Matey Krulev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 81 minutes into the game, Zhelyo Saparevski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSKA Cazimir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pleven PFC the free kick. Zhelyo Saparevski hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Zhivko Mankov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Danail Angelakiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes CSKA Cazimir got a freekick which was hit by Toma Penevski. Borislav Angelushev made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Spas Kadiev sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
