The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Spas Sholev struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Sevdalin Katev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Asteroid. Sevdalin Katev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spas Sholev in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Spas Sholev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trifonova's Sevdalin Katev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Trifonova's goal looked a bit too open when Rashko Damyanski came free, but Sevdalin Katev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Asteroid fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when FC Asteroid's Spas Sholev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sevdalin Katev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spas Sholev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Trifonova's zone, Spas Sholev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sevdalin Katev came out of the goal and Spas Sholev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spas Sholev in the 23rd minute of play forced Trifonova's goalkeeper Sevdalin Katev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes of play, FC Asteroid's Spas Sholev made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sevdalin Katev was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Spas Sholev in the 27th minute of play forced Trifonova's goalkeeper Sevdalin Katev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rashko Damyanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sevdalin Katev having to interfere. When Nencho Patev fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Asteroid's protests and gave Nencho Patev a yellow card for diving instead. Trifonova's Sevdalin Katev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spas Sholev in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Trifonova's goal looked a bit too open when Spas Sholev came free, but Sevdalin Katev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sevdalin Katev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Asteroid's Iliyan Pishimarov got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sevdalin Katev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spas Sholev in the 58th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Trifonova:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Asteroid:s goal. Trifonova's Sevdalin Katev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spas Sholev in the 63rd minute of play.
