Teofan Natev started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Damyan Spaskov sped through Budapest Honvéd FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bobi Grandzhev. Radul Amiorkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Galabin Mesalski fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSKA Gradezh's protests and gave Galabin Mesalski a yellow card for diving instead. Galabin Mesalski hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Lyubcho Tranchev hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes in the game, Damyan Spaskov dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Teofan Natev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bobi Grandzhev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damyan Spaskov in the 28th minute of play. After 34 played minutes, Budapest Honvéd FC's Anton Kermov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tenyo Asenov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Budapest Honvéd FC reached it. The supporters of CSKA Gradezh booed when Budapest Honvéd FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofan Natev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Kermov charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anton Kermov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Budapest Honvéd FC's Anton Kermov got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Damyan Spaskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bobi Grandzhev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damyan Spaskov's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Damyan Spaskov made the kick off in the second half. Damyan Spaskov hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Teofan Natev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, CSKA Gradezh's Radul Amiorkov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Maksim Kirchev kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Serafim Kotrulev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tenyo Asenov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofan Natev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Budapest Honvéd FC's Bobi Grandzhev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damyan Spaskov in the 84th minute of play. CSKA Gradezh's Damyan Spaskov got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Krasen Gamizov kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute CSKA Gradezh were awarded a corner. Sokol Brúmbarov went to the cornerflag to take it. After 95 minutes, Radul Amiorkov made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Budapest Honvéd FC's Bobi Grandzhev tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The CSKA Gradezh players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
