The attack was good, but when Ognyan Pehlivanski in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Stoil Pirinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CSKA Kovacovec's Tzvetan Bozov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Encho Burov in the 96th minute of play.
