The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuzman Tropchev helped the player get up and apologised. 9 minutes into the match, CSKA Liljak's goalkeeper Velichko Vlaev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerasim Konyarov. Mihail Kotzakov came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by CSKA Liljak's Nasko Lyondev. But to his dismay, Nasko Lyondev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Radostin Peshunov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Kotzakov having to interfere. Mihail Kotzakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radostin Peshunov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Nasko Lyondev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CSKA Liljak's Velichko Vlaev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evstati Lipov in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Evstati Lipov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velichko Vlaev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihail Kotzakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radostin Peshunov in the 39th minute of the match. Velichko Vlaev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evstati Lipov, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mihail Kotzakov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radostin Peshunov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, CSKA Liljak's Tzonko Kokov got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of CSKA BG booed when CSKA Liljak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boycho Srúndev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
