Spectators: 7662 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rayko Mandikov started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Karapoltsi's Vancho Kararizov got control of the ball when Bart Halloran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Şaban Özhan in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vancho Kararizov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. CSKA SOFIA were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Karapoltsi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Toncho Dosholov took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Toncho Dosholov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vancho Kararizov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Bart Halloran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diyan Zaimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rayko Mandikov in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, CSKA SOFIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toncho Dosholov to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Sergey Gorolov managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSKA SOFIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergey Gorolov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vancho Kararizov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Şaban Özhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vancho Kararizov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bart Halloran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vancho Kararizov having to interfere. Şaban Özhan had several of the Karapoltsi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Vancho Kararizov as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Bart Halloran managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSKA SOFIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Bart Halloran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 53rdth minute of the game Şaban Özhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karapoltsi's Vancho Kararizov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bo Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Şaban Özhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vancho Kararizov was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 60thth minute of the game Şaban Özhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karapoltsi's Vancho Kararizov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Karapoltsi's Vladimir Múzhkarov got a free kick in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Karapoltsi defense, Bart Halloran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vancho Kararizov. The Karapoltsi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vancho Kararizov should have stopped the shot. Karapoltsi's Vancho Kararizov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Halloran in the 72nd minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Karapoltsi's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Gorolov came free, but Vancho Kararizov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şaban Özhan scored 6-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vancho Kararizov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Karapoltsi's zone, Bart Halloran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vancho Kararizov came out of the goal and Bart Halloran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Karapoltsi got a freekick which was hit by Doncho Chukarski. Bo Öberg's late challenge caught a Karapoltsi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Öberg helped the player get up and apologised. Doncho Chukarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Diyan Zaimov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CSKA SOFIA fully deserved thier win.
