But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Branimir Rabakov couldn't finish the play. Osvald Snell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milyo Badzhakov in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, Rusalka's Rashko Dyukmedzhiev got control of the ball when Teodor Vrazhilov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rashko Dyukmedzhiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krasen Medarski in the 11th minute of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 13th minute when Totyo Yanin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodor Vrazhilov in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rashko Dyukmedzhiev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rusalka's goalkeeper Rashko Dyukmedzhiev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Acho Buzin during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Zerg booed when Rusalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acho Buzin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nenko Mastikov kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Branimir Rabakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miladin Cheresharski charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miladin Cheresharski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Zerg's Miladin Cheresharski got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Igor Gelovski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvald Snell skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Branimir Rabakov to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Branimir Rabakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvald Snell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krasen Medarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rashko Dyukmedzhiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodor Vrazhilov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashko Dyukmedzhiev having to interfere. If Branimir Rabakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes FC Zerg got a freekick which was hit by Valeri Tonev. Rusalka's Milyo Badzhakov got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rashko Dyukmedzhiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Vrazhilov, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Milyo Badzhakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvald Snell having to interfere. Acho Buzin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Rashko Dyukmedzhiev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodor Vrazhilov went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zerg's zone, Branimir Rabakov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvald Snell came out of the goal and Branimir Rabakov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Milyo Badzhakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Branimir Rabakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvald Snell having to interfere. The FC Zerg players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
