In the 32nd minute Vute Gevezov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bozhidar Fasulkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Newton Heath's protests and gave Bone Michinov a yellow card for diving instead.
