The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes CSKA Zvunche got a freekick which was hit by Hristofor Devetakov. 6 minutes into the match, CSKA SF's Avgust Yarúkov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 7th match minute, CSKA Zvunche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zheko Boborachki to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of CSKA SF booed when CSKA Zvunche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zheko Boborachki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuncho Kraynov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignat Barbov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CSKA Zvunche booed when CSKA SF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stoimen Sharlandzhiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vihar Kilev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lyuboslav Burov in the 18th minute. Ignat Barbov took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kuncho Kraynov. Kuncho Kraynov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute of the match Avgust Yarúkov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kuncho Kraynov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kuncho Kraynov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignat Barbov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kuncho Kraynov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bozhin Tzalev in the 25th minute of the match. Vihar Kilev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lyuboslav Burov in the 30th minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Lyuboslav Burov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Zvunche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lyuboslav Burov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lyuboslav Burov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vihar Kilev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of CSKA Zvunche:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CSKA SF:s goal. The referee gave CSKA SF a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Avgust Yarúkov, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CSKA Zvunche's Kuncho Kraynov. 0-2. After having played for 60 minutes, Lyuboslav Burov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Zvunche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lyuboslav Burov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bozhin Tzalev in the 67th minute of play forced CSKA Zvunche's goalkeeper Kuncho Kraynov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Miladin Mindov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSKA Zvunche's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSKA SF the free kick. A collision led to CSKA Zvunche getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Miladin Mindov hit a great ball. Lyuboslav Burov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When CSKA SF's Ignat Barbov in 76 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Kuncho Kraynov guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. CSKA SF's Petko Ginchev pulled a muscle in his back after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Boyan Bakúrdzhiev kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Ignat Barbov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuncho Kraynov having to interfere. A collision led to CSKA Zvunche getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Boyan Bakúrdzhiev hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Ignat Barbov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kuncho Kraynov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CSKA SF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
