In the 4th minute of the match, Miho Dabchev tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Prodan Damyanski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Yanko Deliyski kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Stoyko Vúlnarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodan Damyanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stavri Kopchev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Prodan Damyanski made a huge save. In the 10th minute, Valkan Karagogov made a precise shot to the right of Simo Velkovski. Bunarli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Valkan Karagogov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Simo Velkovski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valkan Karagogov struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Simo Velkovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papazli. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bunarli's goalkeeper Simo Velkovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Anzhelo Dzhukelov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Papazli's Valkan Karagogov got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prodan Damyanski made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Gancho Kozarov sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Papazli's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miho Dabchev fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Valkan Karagogov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gyuro Bivolarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Prodan Damyanski made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Presiyan Chachev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Papazli's goalkeeper Prodan Damyanski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gancho Kozarov. Ivaylo Ninkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Prodan Damyanski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Papazli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lyubcho Kisev to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Papazli got a freekick which was hit by Teodosi Shipkov. Prodan Damyanski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gancho Kozarov in the 49th minute. After the first half Papazli were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miho Dabchev was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Gyuro Bivolarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodan Damyanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stoyko Vúlnarov's late challenge caught a Papazli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stoyko Vúlnarov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Papazli booed when Bunarli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stoyko Vúlnarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lyubcho Kisev took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simo Velkovski. Bunarli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miho Dabchev in the 64th minute of play forced Papazli's goalkeeper Prodan Damyanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simo Velkovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyubcho Kisev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bunarli's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Lyubcho Kisev scored to the left of an out of position Simo Velkovski, making the score, 0-4. In the 88th minute Miho Dabchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodan Damyanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prodan Damyanski came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Bunarli's Gyuro Bivolarski. But to his dismay, Gyuro Bivolarski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. The attack was good, but when Gancho Kozarov in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 96th minute Ivaylo Ninkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodan Damyanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
