Biser Sivchev charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Biser Sivchev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Biser Sivchev hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

52 minutes into the game, Velko Ibrov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ФК Звезда's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSKA Tscherniza the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, ФК Звезда was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velko Ibrov to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Tzvetoslav Lazhev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanek Babadzhanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stancho Rikov hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA Tscherniza's zone, Svetozar Dudev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yanek Babadzhanov came out of the goal and Svetozar Dudev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nedko Púrlev struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Yanek Babadzhanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ФК Звезда. Biser Sivchev got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nedko Púrlev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanek Babadzhanov having to interfere. Danail Kolchagov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Chernev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Chernev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The CSKA Tscherniza supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ФК Звезда's performance. The match ended with a win for ФК Звезда.
