After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Boris Protogerov got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Ruse's Nikifor Velevski broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Roman Elkin hit a great ball. Matey Belorechki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Baharov having to interfere. Kuzman Kúrkelanov charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuzman Kúrkelanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Lokomotiv Ruse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuzman Kúrkelanov to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asparuh Yaninski in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Baharov saved Lokomotiv Ruse from getting behind. Matey Belorechki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Encho Yonchevski made the kick off in the second half. If Matey Belorechki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asparuh Yaninski in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Baharov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Asparuh Yaninski came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asparuh Yaninski couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Asparuh Yaninski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Baharov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asparuh Yaninski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. When FC Barcelona's Asparuh Yaninski in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lokomotiv Ruse's goalie prevented a goal. Haralampi Bogdantzaliev hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute FC Barcelona were awarded a corner. Miho Dilchev went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Ruse defense, Matey Belorechki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Baharov. The Lokomotiv Ruse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Baharov should have stopped the shot. After 89 minutes of play Lokomotiv Ruse's Vute Delkov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Vute Delkov hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Lokomotiv Ruse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Plamen Manzurov didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Barcelona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miho Dilchev in the 99th minute. The corner led FC Barcelona's Miho Dilchev to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Baharov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC Barcelona's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
