George Goyanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Abrashev having to interfere. When Raul Haimar came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Gaytaninovo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Haimar couldn't finish the play. If George Goyanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Goyanes got free with Antoni Abrashev in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Leeds U. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when George Goyanes made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vaklin Geshakov during the 53rd minute. After 81 minutes, Lulcho Dafinov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaytaninovo and the Leeds U. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Gaytaninovo got a freekick which was hit by Lulcho Dafinov. Neno Marinski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avgust Daganov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Raul Haimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Abrashev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Haimar ran back to his position shaking his head. After 96 minutes, Vlado Baharov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeds U. and the Gaytaninovo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Leeds U. got a freekick which was hit by Vlado Baharov. Although Gaytaninovo had been in control for most of the match, Leeds U. still came away with the win.
