After 12 minutes, Stoyne Rezashki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Voluyak and the Beroe-1979 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Svetozar Bosnev lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. After a defensive mix-up in Beroe-1979's zone, Stoyne Rezashki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stoyko Kotlarski came out of the goal and Stoyne Rezashki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the game, Trayko Mishev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Voluyak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beroe-1979 the free kick. A collision led to Voluyak getting a freekick after 77 minutes play.
