Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pancho Pashkov kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arhangel Chuchkov in the 4th minute of play forced Zornitsa's goalkeeper Yosif Gluhchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Zornitsa's Slavi Stamboliyski got a free kick in the 9th minute. Arhangel Chuchkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yosif Gluhchev having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Zornitsa's goal looked a bit too open when Arhangel Chuchkov came free, but Yosif Gluhchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Slavi Stamboliyski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastas Kostakiev having to interfere. Kiril Benov's late challenge caught a Zornitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kiril Benov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Brestica getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kiril Benov hit a great ball. Pancho Pashkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastas Kostakiev having to interfere. Anastas Kostakiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pancho Pashkov in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Vitomir Bodlyov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zornitsa and the Brestica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Zornitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitomir Bodlyov to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Arhangel Chuchkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yosif Gluhchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Zornitsa got a freekick which was hit by Vitomir Bodlyov. If Dragolyub Ruevski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute of the match Brestica got a corner. Zornitsa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lazar Todorchev ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lyubomir Porodinski during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zornitsa getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lyubomir Porodinski hit a great ball. Arhangel Chuchkov struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Yosif Gluhchev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brestica. After a rather tough play, Zornitsa's Tencho Kozov got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 50th minute Brestica were awarded a corner. Lazar Todorchev went to the cornerflag to take it. Milcho Tagarev made a great header on Brestica's corner, it was just that Zornitsa's Yosif Gluhchev managed to reach the ball for a save.
The audience thought a goal was coming when Arhangel Chuchkov got free with Yosif Gluhchev in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Zornitsa's zone, Dragolyub Ruevski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yosif Gluhchev came out of the goal and Dragolyub Ruevski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arhangel Chuchkov came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Brestica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arhangel Chuchkov couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Dragolyub Ruevski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yosif Gluhchev. Dragolyub Ruevski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Anastas Kostakiev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pancho Pashkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Brestica defense, Pancho Pashkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastas Kostakiev. The Brestica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastas Kostakiev should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brestica's goalkeeper Anastas Kostakiev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arhangel Chuchkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Yosif Gluhchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tencho Kozov kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Dragolyub Ruevski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Arhangel Chuchkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Brestica players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
