Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) CSKA's Adalbert Gaydardzhiev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of CSKA booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radul Koshlukov didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tzonko Mutafov in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pancho Vladislavov saved CSKA from getting behind. Vergil Stiptzarov kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Boris Sveshtarov. Manchester United's Tzonko Mutafov got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Zhivko Derventski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pancho Vladislavov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radul Koshlukov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Velimir Mitrashkov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tenyo Petleshkov skillfully saved the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Manchester United's Tzonko Mutafov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pancho Vladislavov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Tenyo Petleshkov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pancho Vladislavov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzonko Mutafov in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vergil Stiptzarov got free with Tenyo Petleshkov in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Manchester United's Tenyo Petleshkov got control of the ball when Boris Sveshtarov tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 minutes, Tzonko Mutafov made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. CSKA's Pancho Vladislavov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tenyo Petleshkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalbert Gaydardzhiev in the 44th minute of play. Pancho Vladislavov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tzonko Mutafov went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

The wind increased when Tzonko Mutafov made the kick off in the second half. Samuil Maykov kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Velimir Mitrashkov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tenyo Petleshkov. Manchester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, Manchester United's Tzonko Mutafov made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pancho Vladislavov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zhivko Derventski struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pancho Vladislavov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Kuncho Dushkin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tzonko Mutafov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Pancho Vladislavov made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhivko Derventski in the 86th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Pancho Vladislavov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zhivko Derventski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tzonko Mutafov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pancho Vladislavov firmly grabbed it by the left post.
