In the 13th match minute, CSKA Kurshalevo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vencho Tzotzorkov to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Zhelyazko Buzin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sokol Kúrshev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Albert Milenov fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSKA Kurshalevo's protests and gave Albert Milenov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Albert Milenov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sokol Kúrshev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhelyazko Buzin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Albert Milenov scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filippo Cappucci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Sokol Kúrshev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute of the match Anastas Zabunov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sokol Kúrshev skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to CSKA Kurshalevo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Panayot Kerkov hit a great ball. Zhelyazko Buzin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Chelsea FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Milenov made a kick off. In the 54th minute Samuil Manikatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Cappucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albert Milenov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filippo Cappucci was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Anastas Chipev kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 76 minutes, Zhelyazko Buzin made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. CSKA Kurshalevo's Sokol Kúrshev tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nayden Simidchiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zhelyazko Buzin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sokol Kúrshev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CSKA Kurshalevo's Sokol Kúrshev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nayden Simidchiev in the 87th minute of play. Nayden Simidchiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sokol Kúrshev having to interfere. A collision led to CSKA Kurshalevo getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Panayot Kerkov hit a great ball.
