Kostadin Bunchev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Serafim Darkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Belasitsa booed when Апостоли на Свободата was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veliko Zimbilev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stoil Zachev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Gazenov in the 30th minute of play. If Slavey Pedev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radostin Hantov's late challenge caught a Belasitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radostin Hantov helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Апостоли на Свободата got a freekick which was hit by Radostin Hantov. In the 44th minute Radostin Hantov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stoil Zachev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute Slavey Pedev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Darkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 69 minutes of play, Belasitsa's Slavey Pedev made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Darkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stoil Zachev came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Апостоли на Свободата's Marian Gazenov. But to his dismay, Marian Gazenov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergey Barenski during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kostadin Bunchev struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Serafim Darkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belasitsa. 84 minutes into the game, Andrey Stamov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-4. Stoil Zachev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stoil Zachev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Stamov, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
