After a rather tough play, Durbolar's Peyo Belichovski got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Dragan Penkochev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durbolar's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragan Penkochev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Velichko Funev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Спартак Кюстендил's Nesho Gidikov got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Toshko Naplatanov came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Спартак Кюстендил's Grozdan Chervenski. But to his dismay, Grozdan Chervenski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Durbolar's Toshko Naplatanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nesho Gidikov in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Grozdan Chervenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toshko Naplatanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nesho Gidikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toshko Naplatanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Grozdan Chervenski struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Toshko Naplatanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Спартак Кюстендил. If Nesho Gidikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Grozdan Chervenski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Durbolar's Toshko Naplatanov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grozdan Chervenski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toshko Naplatanov having to make a save. Toshko Naplatanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nesho Gidikov's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Anko Damyanski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Спартак Кюстендил's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durbolar the free kick. Yoncho Geshkov hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of Спартак Кюстендил booed when Durbolar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilko Dashev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durbolar's Toshko Naplatanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grozdan Chervenski in the 89th minute of play.
