In the 6th minute of the match, Silvério Maranhense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Grozdan Gúlov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Maranhense couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Leonel Rosado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Grozdan Gúlov. The goal made the score 1-0. Radan Naydenov hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Gospodin Krosnev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Elenska defense, Alek Gúbev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardino Goiz. The Elenska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardino Goiz should have stopped the shot. CSKA Stokite's Alek Gúbev got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Manchev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grozdan Gúlov came out and tried to block the shot, but Vladimir Manchev slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the game, Dinko Ralchovski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSKA Stokite's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elenska the free kick. Dinko Ralchovski kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Rosado made a kick off. In the 51st minute Vladimir Manchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grozdan Gúlov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Elenska's Leonel Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grozdan Gúlov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhan Bozhanski got free with Bernardino Goiz in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimir Manchev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Grozdan Gúlov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elenska's Vladimir Manchev got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CSKA Stokite's Grozdan Gúlov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Manchev in the 71st minute of play. When Elenska's Vladimir Manchev in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Grozdan Gúlov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Rosado went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Fausto Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Grozdan Gúlov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Elenska had won after a very even match.
