The tension between the Blackburn Rovers FC and the Kamenar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kamenar booed when Blackburn Rovers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Shearer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignat Gerginski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Brad Friedel made a huge save. Alan Shearer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Blackburn Rovers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Krastyo Bobev came free, but Brad Friedel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Minko Roshkev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Argir Badelov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Argir Badelov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Panayot Parashkevov. Kamenar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Argir Badelov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Jason Roberts came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Blackburn Rovers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Roberts couldn't finish the play. Alan Shearer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panayot Parashkevov having to interfere. Brad Friedel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Krastyo Bobev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. Ignat Gerginski kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Minko Roshkev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panayot Parashkevov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Shearer in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tzonyo Stamov in the 59th minute of play forced Blackburn Rovers FC's goalkeeper Brad Friedel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argir Badelov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Panayot Parashkevov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brad Friedel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignat Gerginski in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match Karamfil Dzhakov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brad Friedel skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Shearer in the 75th minute of play forced Kamenar's goalkeeper Panayot Parashkevov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blackburn Rovers FC's Alan Shearer got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Minko Roshkev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackburn Rovers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Minko Roshkev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panayot Parashkevov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Minko Roshkev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Zlatko Dedov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kamenar and the Blackburn Rovers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Panayot Parashkevov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Shearer, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Kamenar's Tzonyo Stamov made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brad Friedel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute of the match, Alan Shearer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Panayot Parashkevov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Blackburn Rovers FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kamenar had won, even though Blackburn Rovers FC had held more of the ball.
