The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stayko Mazakov during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Progreso's Stayko Mazakov got a free kick in the 7th minute. Arso Shumanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dragolyub Púrlichev made a huge save. Dragolyub Púrlichev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoy Shivarov in the 13th minute of play. Zhelyazko Butev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragolyub Púrlichev having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Viden Molerov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Viden Molerov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dragolyub Púrlichev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Filip Kúrdzhiev came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the BOTEV TRUSHLEVO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Kúrdzhiev couldn't finish the play. BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's attentive Nayden Vrachev managed to snatch the ball when Stefan Gollob made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Dragolyub Púrlichev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoy Shivarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's goal looked a bit too open when Toncho Binev came free, but Dragolyub Púrlichev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragolyub Púrlichev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arso Shumanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viden Molerov got free with Dragolyub Púrlichev in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragolyub Púrlichev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoy Shivarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhelyazko Butev in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragolyub Púrlichev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Arso Shumanov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dragolyub Púrlichev. BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arso Shumanov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dragolyub Púrlichev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhelyazko Butev in the 60th minute of play. After 60 played minutes BOTEV TRUSHLEVO got a freekick which was hit by Nayden Vrachev. When Huben Trenchev fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Progreso's protests and gave Huben Trenchev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Club Deportivo Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huben Trenchev to maneuver through the defense. BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's Nayden Vrachev quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Radoy Shivarov, made in the 64th minute of the game. After 69 minutes, Filip Kúrdzhiev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOTEV TRUSHLEVO and the Club Deportivo Progreso players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BOTEV TRUSHLEVO getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Filip Kúrdzhiev hit a great ball. Club Deportivo Progreso's Haralampi Boykov was substituted for Arso Shumanov. Konstantin Maslenkov kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Club Deportivo Progreso players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
