In the 17th minute Iliyan Bolashikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Friedel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vanko Kavlakov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Blue Power's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 83rd match minute, Blackburn Rovers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severin Grashev to maneuver through the defense. Blackburn Rovers FC's Brad Friedel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Blackburn Rovers FC from getting a goal against them. Brad Friedel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blue Power played a much better game than Blackburn Rovers FC and deserved their victory. The Blackburn Rovers FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
