The coaching staff of ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Venko Kyuranov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The crowd rose to their feet as Veselin Vergov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brad Friedel. That made the score 2-1 in the 19 minute of play. Velimir Kolyovski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Brad Friedel made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Argir Badelov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blackburn Rovers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ the free kick. The supporters of ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ booed when Blackburn Rovers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argir Badelov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Velimir Kolyovski got free with Brad Friedel in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanoy Deyanov got free with Brad Friedel in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ's Stanoy Deyanov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brad Friedel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Brad Friedel managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ's Velimir Kolyovski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Brad Friedel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velimir Kolyovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Blackburn Rovers FC's zone, Velimir Kolyovski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brad Friedel came out of the goal and Velimir Kolyovski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brad Friedel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanoy Deyanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, Blackburn Rovers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Shearer to maneuver through the defense. ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ's Emil Kyulyumov got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Emil Kyulyumov came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the ®FVU18® 1.ФК ΑΛΦΑ•Γ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Kyulyumov couldn't finish the play.
