The goalkeeper, Keld Paulsen, was totally fooled by Żaby Żnin's Krzysztof Ronaldinho, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 18 minutes into the game, Żaby Żnin's Andrzej Cetnar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Szczepan Wachna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eugenio Nesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Żaby Żnin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bertram Svenningsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Nesto having to make a save. Eugenio Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olav Graversen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Szczepan Wachna took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Żaby Żnin's Piotr Gmoch was substituted for Ulryk Michnik. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

55 minutes into the game, Piotr Gmoch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 59th minute of the match, Bertram Svenningsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugenio Nesto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Żaby Żnin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Linares came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Piotr Gmoch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Olav Graversen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szczepan Wachna, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Norbert Orling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulryk Olchawa in the 90th minute of the match. Żaby Żnin's Eugenio Nesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Żaby Żnin from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Żaby Żnin getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Piotr Gmoch hit a great ball. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Fabrício Linares made a throw-in in the 99th minute of the game. With a little luck, Żaby Żnin's Eugenio Nesto got control of the ball when Bertram Svenningsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Denmark players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Żaby Żnin.
