An unexpectedly hard shot by Velichko Búnev in the 14th minute of play forced GATE's goalkeeper Christian Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tervel Ribolovski took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Oporto. Christian Oporto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Tervel Ribolovski put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Oporto. In the 25th match minute, GATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetoslav Legomanov to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Erbatur Peyami was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC East Star the free kick. Christian Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tervel Ribolovski in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match FC East Star got a corner. GATE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stiliyan Maynolovski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Parvan Harabaliev heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Tervel Ribolovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the game, Svetoslav Legomanov threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC East Star's Viden Arahangelov quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rostislav Kishkilov's late challenge caught a FC East Star's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rostislav Kishkilov helped the player get up and apologised. Rostislav Kishkilov was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. Christian Oporto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Stiliyan Maynolovski. 61 minutes into the game, GATE's Zlatan Dyulgerov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stoyne Borimechkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tervel Ribolovski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christian Oporto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 68 minutes, Ignat Kyushev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GATE and the FC East Star players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Dyulgerov in the 70th minute of play forced FC East Star's goalkeeper Stoyne Borimechkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Zlatan Dyulgerov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Tervel Ribolovski lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Christian Oporto. Milcho Petkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Christian Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Oporto made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Velichko Búnev sent off a good shot on target. Tervel Ribolovski kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Christian Oporto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tervel Ribolovski in the 93rd minute of play.
