The audience thought a goal was coming when Velichko Trenkov got free with Lin Feng in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Dikanarov charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Dikanarov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexander Dikanarov kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 1.CSKA's Lin Feng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save 1.CSKA from getting a goal against them. Hugo Lloris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordera Nunez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, ПФК Берое's Velichko Trenkov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lin Feng. Lin Feng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 1.CSKA's Lin Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velichko Trenkov in the 23rd minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, ПФК Берое's goal looked a bit too open when Cordera Nunez came free, but Hugo Lloris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Velichko Trenkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lin Feng was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Cordera Nunez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to 1.CSKA getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zapryan Fotev hit a great ball. Zachary Domaradzki hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Vihren Delibaltov in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 1.CSKA's Alexander Dikanarov. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cordera Nunez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in 1.CSKA's zone, Velichko Trenkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lin Feng came out of the goal and Velichko Trenkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the game, Julian Lluques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1.CSKA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ПФК Берое the free kick. Lin Feng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velichko Trenkov's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 70 minutes, Vihren Delibaltov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ПФК Берое and the 1.CSKA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ПФК Берое getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Vihren Delibaltov hit a great ball. Vihren Delibaltov kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 73 played minutes ПФК Берое got a freekick which was hit by Vihren Delibaltov. Lin Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukianos Konstantakis in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to ПФК Берое getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Valko Sofiyanski hit a great ball. Hugo Lloris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cordera Nunez in the 79th minute. In the 80th match minute, ПФК Берое was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valko Sofiyanski to maneuver through the defense. When Cordera Nunez came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the 1.CSKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordera Nunez couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Loukianos Konstantakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Loukianos Konstantakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cordera Nunez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Lloris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by ПФК Берое's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexander Dikanarov was slow to take the kick. During this time 1.CSKA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led 1.CSKA's Alexander Dikanarov to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Lloris despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ПФК Берое had won after a very even match.
