The referee showed Nacho Barbutski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Loko Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nacho Barbutski to maneuver through the defense. When Nacho Barbutski came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Loko Plovdiv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Barbutski couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute of the match, Shane Nottingham tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vladimir Tomanov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st match minute, ФК Цомбомания was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Schwerdt to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baransel Tezveren in the 24th minute of play forced Loko Plovdiv's goalkeeper Vladimir Tomanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Nacho Barbutski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loko Plovdiv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nacho Barbutski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Nacho Barbutski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frasco Morales was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Vladimir Tomanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Nottingham in the 36th minute of the match. If Shane Nottingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Aurél Ciobica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Parvan Aladzhemov during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Loko Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Parvan Aladzhemov. 43 minutes in the game, Shane Nottingham fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vladimir Tomanov having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Loko Plovdiv made a substitution. Yanek Platnarov replaced Genadi Ahmakov. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shane Nottingham to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Loko Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Parvan Aladzhemov to maneuver through the defense. Loko Plovdiv's Kalin Mitrushev got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nacho Barbutski took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frasco Morales. Frasco Morales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Loko Plovdiv's Vencho Zlatarev was substituted for Konstantin Buranovski. In the 63rd minute Loko Plovdiv were awarded a corner. Nacho Barbutski went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Loko Plovdiv's goalkeeper Vladimir Tomanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladimir Tomanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baransel Tezveren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loko Plovdiv's Vladimir Tomanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Nottingham in the 81st minute of play. Shane Nottingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Tomanov having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Nacho Barbutski took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Frasco Morales to make any attempt to save it. Frasco Morales didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Shane Nottingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Vladimir Tomanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ФК Цомбомания fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Loko Plovdiv were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
