In the 15th minute Hristofor Dundov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evgeni Tzandev hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 28th match minute, ФК Цомбомания was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Gaxan to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in ФК Цомбомания fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 42nd minute, Gogo Columbo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frasco Morales was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

CSKA's Sava Kitipov was substituted for Kalin Radinov. The wind increased when Shane Nottingham made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA's zone, Shane Nottingham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tzvetelin Shirokov came out of the goal and Shane Nottingham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shane Nottingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tzvetelin Shirokov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristofor Dundov in the 57th minute of play forced ФК Цомбомания's goalkeeper Frasco Morales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes ФК Цомбомания got a freekick which was hit by Evgeni Tzandev. Frasco Morales made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tzoko Shotorov in the 65th minute. Tzoko Shotorov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Frasco Morales skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gogo Columbo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Frasco Morales made a huge save. The supporters of ФК Цомбомания booed when CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sava Kitipov didn't get a good kick on the ball.
