The supporters of FC Partizan booed when FC Kyustendil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwo Koprowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Partizan's Georgi Benkovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Pacios in the 30th minute of play. Georgi Benkovski came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kyustendil's Raul Pacios. But to his dismay, Raul Pacios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Lindqvist in the 36th minute of play forced FC Partizan's goalkeeper Georgi Benkovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliyan Sagaev struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Keilor Navas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Partizan. The crowd rose to their feet as Bogomil Stamenov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keilor Navas. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Martines could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Georgi Benkovski however easily saved by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's Oskar Lindqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgi Benkovski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Georgi Benkovski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hendro Alexander's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Georgi Benkovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Martines in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Oskar Lindqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Georgi Benkovski. The goal made the score 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cezary Lewkowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kyustendil's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezary Lewkowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georgi Benkovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Kyustendil's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
