After 7 minutes of play, VN FC Spartak-Varna's Danny Valentin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murilo Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murilo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Boklund in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GREEN FIGHTERS's Rafael Varan got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the GREEN FIGHTERS defense, Danny Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Melo. The GREEN FIGHTERS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Melo should have stopped the shot. After 22 played minutes GREEN FIGHTERS got a freekick which was hit by Tzvetomir Pirkov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Valentin in the 23rd minute of play forced GREEN FIGHTERS's goalkeeper Murilo Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Giejda in the 26th minute of play. GREEN FIGHTERS's Murilo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save GREEN FIGHTERS from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Zbigniew Paraszczuk took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Murilo Melo to make any attempt to save it. Murilo Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademar Cabral in the 35th minute. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milcho Spasov in the 37th minute of play. Danny Valentin took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Melo. Murilo Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbigniew Paraszczuk to make the kick off. Murilo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lundgren in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis got control of the ball when Inocencio Fagildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute Zbigniew Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GREEN FIGHTERS defense, Zbigniew Paraszczuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Melo. The GREEN FIGHTERS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Melo should have stopped the shot. Murilo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 64th minute of play. Danny Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Melo having to interfere. Boguslaw Giejda charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boguslaw Giejda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Orlin Radionov was substituted for Olivier Giroud. The supporters of VN FC Spartak-Varna booed when GREEN FIGHTERS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boguslaw Giejda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murilo Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Kaupo Lattu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Murilo Melo, a very annoying self made goal in the 79th minute which led to 7-0. In the 81st minute Zbigniew Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Honrio came free, but Hans Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalkeeper Hans Curtis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Branislav Lafchiyski. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. VN FC Spartak-Varna had won after a very even match.
