An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikifor Vardev in the 11th minute of play forced Dynamo Dresden's goalkeeper Wellington Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Shelby kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Nikifor Vardev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Wellington Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peyo Irmanov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nikifor Vardev struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Wellington Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA. Vergil Monchev made an important save on a dangerous shot by 曹光义 in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the game, CSKA's Nikifor Vardev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 36th minute, Froilan Aguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikifor Vardev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Wellington Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, CSKA's Nikifor Vardev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wellington Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikifor Vardev's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tzvetelin Gelev was the one to do the kick off. If Artur Shelby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 52 minutes into the match, Nikifor Vardev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wellington Figueiredo, 0-3. Nikifor Vardev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Wellington Figueiredo made a huge save. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dynamo Dresden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martin Petrov was slow to take the kick. During this time CSKA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to CSKA's Martin Petrov getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. CSKA's Nikifor Vardev was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. CSKA's attentive Radoy Patarinski managed to snatch the ball when Peyo Irmanov made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Vergil Monchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tzvetelin Gelev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Nikifor Vardev reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wellington Figueiredo. The goal made the score 0-5. A collision led to CSKA getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Radoy Patarinski hit a great ball. Wellington Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by CSKA's Nikifor Vardev. But to his dismay, Nikifor Vardev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The supporters of CSKA booed when Dynamo Dresden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. 曹光义 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Nikifor Vardev notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Dynamo Dresden's Wellington Figueiredo. Wellington Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peyo Irmanov kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The CSKA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CSKA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
