United Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anani Dombev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radomir Petrov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Yonko Kashukeev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSKA Resselez and the United Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Albert Blomquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radomir Petrov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 30 minutes into the game, CSKA Resselez's Albert Blomquist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radomir Petrov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Albert Blomquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anani Dombev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomir Petrov having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anani Dombev to make the kick off.
