After a rather tough play, PFK Beroe's Kiril Lambovski got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Afşin Keykubad fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sava Hvoynev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyan Parlapanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. PFK Beroe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Afşin Keykubad 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Rico Gulatzs short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Diyan Kúrdzhiev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, PFK Beroe's goal looked a bit too open when Afşin Keykubad came free, but Diyan Kúrdzhiev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afşin Keykubad in the 34th minute of play forced PFK Beroe's goalkeeper Diyan Kúrdzhiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diyan Kúrdzhiev made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rico Gulatz sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in FC MANCHESTER CITY's zone, Boyan Parlapanski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sava Hvoynev came out of the goal and Boyan Parlapanski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Afşin Keykubad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Diyan Kúrdzhiev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

A collision led to PFK Beroe getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pavel Dashinov hit a great ball. FC MANCHESTER CITY's Afşin Keykubad got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sava Hvoynev made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Boyan Parlapanski sent off a good shot on target. PFK Beroe's Dragan Hadzhistoyanov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Hammervold in the 60 minute of the game. In the 64th minute Afşin Keykubad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diyan Kúrdzhiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diyan Kúrdzhiev came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by FC MANCHESTER CITY's Rico Gulatz. Diyan Kúrdzhiev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 76 minutes, Borislav Kandov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC MANCHESTER CITY and the PFK Beroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Afşin Keykubad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MANCHESTER CITY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. If Boyan Parlapanski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that FC MANCHESTER CITY were the better team. FC MANCHESTER CITY's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
