In the 15th minute, Rayko Tzonkin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitko Hadzhiiliev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 20th match minute, FC Grivata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Brolin to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Sørensen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aan 周瑜. After 21 played minutes Aan 周瑜 scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Thomas Sørensen who was too lazy, 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Karl-Michael Tinglöv could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Thomas Sørensen however easily saved by the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sava Chuchev to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl-Michael Tinglöv blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Sørensen having to make a save. The SPARROWS fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when SPARROWS's Karl-Michael Tinglöv looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eero Grönholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Michael Tinglöv's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Sørensen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, SPARROWS's Vitko Hadzhiiliev got control of the ball when Eero Grönholm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aan 周瑜 might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Sørensen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aan 周瑜 ran back to his position shaking his head. After 95 played minutes SPARROWS got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Tinglöv. FC Grivata's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
