The Redruth City fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Redruth City's Teimuraz Dzotsenidze looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Teimuraz Dzotsenidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Liverno Brothers's zone, Valiko Lekov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Takha Abesadze came out of the goal and Valiko Lekov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khvicha Kobiashvili charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khvicha Kobiashvili the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Khvicha Kobiashvili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takha Abesadze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teimuraz Dzotsenidze , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liverno Brothers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nukri Lekov was slow to take the kick. During this time Redruth City's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Liverno Brothers getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vladimir Cholokaev hit a great ball. Bondo Milakiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mindia Andrzheevskiy in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mindia Andrzheevskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mindia Andrzheevskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bondo Milakiev having to interfere. Redruth City played a much better game than Liverno Brothers and deserved their victory. The Liverno Brothers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
