The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Djondo Urushadze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liparit Jachvadze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Nikoloz Londaridze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Goldthorpe's Nikoloz Londaridze got a free kick in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Sergey Torotadze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Djondo Urushadze. Goldthorpe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergey Torotadze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 29th minute, Filipp Anghelache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Arsen Labadze with Liparit Jachvadze as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 37 minutes, Khobuli Bitsadze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geographer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khobuli Bitsadze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geographer's Sabir Aragvsky got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipp Anghelache kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gia Arveladze made in the 47th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sabir Aragvsky. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 55 played minutes Goldthorpe got a freekick which was hit by Tsotne Bitsadze. In the 56th match minute, Geographer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dato Neparidze to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Nikoloz Londaridze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goldthorpe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Goldthorpe booed when Geographer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipp Anghelache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Soso Shalikashvili sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Djojiki Labadze skillfully saved the ball. When Goldthorpe's Nikoloz Londaridze in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Geographer's zone, Soso Shalikashvili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Djojiki Labadze came out of the goal and Soso Shalikashvili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goldthorpe's Soso Shalikashvili got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikoloz Londaridze in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Djojiki Labadze prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 93 minutes, Nikoloz Londaridze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goldthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikoloz Londaridze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geographer's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
