Zestafoni's zone, Shoshita Babadishev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anatoly Bitsadze came out of the goal and Shoshita Babadishev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bukhuti Bitsadze in the 23rd minute of play forced F.C. Zestafoni's goalkeeper Anatoly Bitsadze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shoshita Babadishev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anatoly Bitsadze having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match, Sergey Podolyakin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kakhi Zabelin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shoshita Babadishev in the 38th minute of play forced F.C. Zestafoni's goalkeeper Anatoly Bitsadze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Bukhuti Bitsadze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anatoly Bitsadze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roman Milakiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Whittlesey's goalkeeper Kakhi Zabelin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Milakiev.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shoshita Babadishev in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anatoly Bitsadze prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kakhi Zabelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Milakiev in the 81st minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Sergey Podolyakin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whittlesey's Kakhi Zabelin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kakhi Zabelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Milakiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Whittlesey getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Okhoropir Pawletko hit a great ball. Zestafoni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Milakiev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
