Tshalkhia Gogava took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otar Sordia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Goderdzi Kikalishvili kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tshalkhia Gogava came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool FC's Khudji Robakidze. But to his dismay, Khudji Robakidze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Goderdzi Torotadze kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Khudji Robakidze came free, but Tshalkhia Gogava reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Sabir Sagharadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Otar Sordia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GALATASARAY's Tshalkhia Gogava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khudji Robakidze in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Goderdzi Kikalishvili. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goderdzi Torotadze in the 34th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Tshalkhia Gogava to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 37th minute, when GALATASARAY's Nikoloz Machaidze after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Nodari Kikalishvili in Liverpool FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Shota Zabelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Filipp Topnikov got a free kick in the 45th minute. The GALATASARAY players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liverpool FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shota Zabelin to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tshalkhia Abesadze in the 52nd minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Nodari Kikalishvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Shota Zabelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, GALATASARAY's Tshalkhia Gogava got control of the ball when Goderdzi Torotadze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nodari Kikalishvili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shota Zabelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shota Zabelin in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nodari Kikalishvili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shota Zabelin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Nodari Kikalishvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. Khvicha Robakidze kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Ignatiy Pulishvili got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Khudji Robakidze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Khudji Robakidze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tshalkhia Gogava breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Khudji Robakidze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khudji Robakidze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tshalkhia Gogava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Liverpool FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liverpool FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
