Horwich United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bidzina Pozharskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Vaja Podolyakin managed to get in a good position for a shot. BFC Magonday's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaja Podolyakin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soso Kobiashvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarji Robakidze might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Soso Kobiashvili. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarji Robakidze ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Horwich United's goal looked a bit too open when Jarji Robakidze came free, but Soso Kobiashvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the BFC Magonday defense, Bidzina Pozharskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Takha Kobiashvili. The BFC Magonday fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Takha Kobiashvili should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, BFC Magonday's Takha Kobiashvili got control of the ball when Pavel Mingrelsky tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Horwich United booed when BFC Magonday was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beka Cholokaev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Horwich United's Bidzina Pozharskiy got a free kick in the 34th minute. Takha Kobiashvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Mingrelsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Pavel Mingrelsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaja Podolyakin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Mingrelsky in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Takha Kobiashvili saved BFC Magonday from getting behind. Takha Kobiashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nodari Khatiashvili in the 81st minute of play. Pavel Mingrelsky kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match.
