The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aydin Machaidze might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pavel Pozharskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aydin Machaidze ran back to his position shaking his head. Pavel Pozharskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsen Khatiashvili in the 15th minute of the match. Pavel Pozharskiy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aydin Machaidze went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pavel Pozharskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsen Khatiashvili in the 22nd minute of play. When Djojiki Nad fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC FenerBahce's protests and gave Djojiki Nad a yellow card for diving instead. Pavel Pozharskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsen Khatiashvili in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Wotton-under-Edge AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dimitry Gabelia hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Wotton-under-Edge AFC's Soso Cholokaev got a free kick in the 41st minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsen Khatiashvili made a kick off. A collision led to Wotton-under-Edge AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tsotne Aragvsky hit a great ball. Ignatiy Shalikashvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imeda Gagnidze, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Tshalkhia Dzotsenidze's late challenge caught a Wotton-under-Edge AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tshalkhia Dzotsenidze helped the player get up and apologised. Tshalkhia Dzotsenidze kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A hard shot by Tsotne Aragvsky from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Pavel Pozharskiy's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Arsen Khatiashvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Naskhida Beroshvili was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC FenerBahce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wotton-under-Edge AFC the free kick. A collision led to FC FenerBahce getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Naskhida Beroshvili hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Aydin Machaidze made a precise shot to the right of Pavel Pozharskiy. FC FenerBahce's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC FenerBahce fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Wotton-under-Edge AFC a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lukhum Andrzheevskiy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC FenerBahce's Pavel Pozharskiy. 0-3. Ignatiy Shalikashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Imeda Gagnidze in the 82nd minute of the match. Soso Cholokaev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Imeda Gagnidze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatiy Shalikashvili having to interfere. Imeda Gagnidze scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignatiy Shalikashvili , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Roland Pulishvili notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Wotton-under-Edge AFC's Ignatiy Shalikashvili . Ignatiy Shalikashvili was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC FenerBahce were furious when Okhoropir Tsitsishvili was red carded, 100 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The Wotton-under-Edge AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wotton-under-Edge AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
